Dubai, United Arab Emirates – June 21, 2010 – Twenty-six professionals from around the UAE attended a workshop in Abu Dhabi focused on improving idea generation and innovation management. Sponsored by Innovation 360 Institute and Innovation Framework Technologies, the two-day workshop entitled “Building and Managing Your Innovation Projects Pipeline” demonstrated a variety of techniques participants can use in their own organizations to generate high quality ideas for innovation.
“This workshop showed me that it's not enough to have ideas,” said Radhakrishnan, Group Business Excellence Manager for Axiom Telecom. “Your ideas must add value for your customers and your organization.”

Kamal Hassan of Innovation 360 Institute led the idea management workshop in Abu Dhabi.
In order to add value to their ideas, participants learned how to approach idea generation as a process. Innovation 360 President and CEO, Kamal Hassan, explained to participants how to start with the customer/end user in mind, and how to go beyond brainstorming to create unique and innovative ideas. He also demonstrated several techniques that can be used to select and prioritize ideas.
After attending the workshop, Ahmed El-Hadidi, EHS & WCP Manager at CROWN Emirates Co. Ltd., explained how he will use what he learned. “When you are a manager, you get a lot of ideas on how to do things better and make the process world class. Sometimes it's hard to know what to do with them. I can use some tools I learned in the workshop like SCAMPER and Random Stimulus to help me select the best ideas. And also ‘decompose’ the other ideas to see if they can be used.”
